The Cultural Association of Mikropolis organizes every year a 3-day event celebrating the production of tsipouro and chestnuts. On the second day, visitors and residents go to the chestnut forest of Mikropolis to pick up chestnuts. The next day, a feast is set up at the monastery of Panagia (Virgin Mary) Kastanousa, in the heart of the chestnut forest. The Cultural Association of Mikropolis cooks the gathered chestnuts (grilled or boiled) and also offers red wine.
